Strike action between Monday 2 October to Thursday 5 October 2023

Consultants and junior doctors at The Christie will both strike between 7am on Monday 2 October to 7am on Thursday 5 October 2023. Both consultants and junior doctors will still provide emergency care during their strikes.

We are proactively contacting patients with appointments that may be affected by this strike. If you have an appointment at the Trust on any of these dates, please continue to come to The Christie and our other centres as planned unless we contact you to tell you otherwise. There may be longer waits than usual in clinics during this time.

Please do not call to check if your appointment is still going ahead.

Car parking

At The Christie, car parking for patients and visitors is currently free of charge.

Our car parks for patients and visitors are car park C (multi-storey) on Palatine Road (M20 3JJ) and car park D on Wilmslow Road (M20 3QH).

Car parks at The Christie

The on-site car parks at The Christie are consistently very busy. Due to this, you may not be able to find a parking space near the closest entrance to the department you require.

There is a drop-off point at the Oak Road entrance. If you want to drop off a patient who has mobility issues, you can do this here and then park in car park C or car park D. There are wheelchairs at this entrance.

The Trust cannot guarantee a car park space on site.

Car park D is open 24 hours a day. Car park C opens at 5:30am and closes at 10pm.
