What is endocrinology?

Endocrinology is the branch of medicine that cares for patients with hormone-related disease. The endocrine system involves the hormone-releasing glands. These include the pituitary, thyroid, parathyroid, pancreas, adrenals, ovaries and testicles.

Endocrinology also includes metabolic bone conditions such as osteoporosis. 

Adrenal disease

The adrenal glands are two very small but vital endocrine glands. Issues with the adrenal glands are treated as part of endocrinology.
