Hosted in the Oak Road entrance at The Christie, our event is a great opportunity to come and meet the nursing team. Come along to see our working environment and learn more about pursuing a career here at The Christie.
Details of our nurse recruitment open evening
At our open evening, you will be invited to take a tour of the hospital and meet the teams in the area you are interested in working within. Nurses who have been through the newly qualified pathway in the last couple of years will also be on hand to share their experiences.
There will be an opportunity to receive guidance on your career plan at our career clinic and discuss education opportunities with The School of Oncology.
Recruiting managers will be available on the day to match you with our current and future vacancies and talk with you about the support we offer to develop your Outstanding Career.
The nurse recruitment open evening will be held on 21 November 2019, between 4pm and 8pm.

More about The Christie
The Christie specialises in cancer treatment, research and education. It is the largest single site cancer centre in Europe.
Treating more than 44,000 patients a year from across the UK, we became the first UK centre to be officially accredited as a comprehensive cancer centre. We also have our own dedicated hospital charity to improve care for our patients and their families.
We were the first specialist Trust to have twice been awarded an ‘Outstanding’ rating from the Care Quality Commission. The CQC said we were ‘a leader in cancer care’ and ‘a pioneer in developing innovative solutions to cancer care’. They also praised the Trust’s staff who ‘go the extra mile to meet the needs of patients and their families’ and who were ‘exceptionally kind and caring’.
The Christie employs nearly 3,000 staff, all of whom work together to provide the best possible cancer care and patient experience.
Some of our recent developments include a state-of-the-art specialised haematology and teenage and young adult unit, excellent facilities at our Oak Road entrance and the first high energy NHS proton beam therapy centre in the UK.
