Consultant in Medical Oncology in the breast cancer team. Dr Takeuchi participates in new patient and follow-up clinics for patients with early and advanced stage breast cancer. She also recruits patients into local, national and international clinical trials.
Consultant in Medical Oncology providing visiting service at the Royal Albert Edward Infirmary in Wigan. She undertakes new patient and follow-up clinics for patients with breast and colorectal cancer in Wigan, enabling more patients to receive their chemotherapy treatments closer to home. She is also the clinical lead for the chemotherapy and acute oncology services in Wigan.
Professional biography
Dr Takeuchi has been a consultant at The Christie since the end of 2012. She specialises in treating patients with breast cancer and works as a part of a larger breast cancer team at The Christie. She also provides a visiting oncology service at The Christie at Wigan, allowing more patients to receive their cancer therapies closer to home. Dr Takeuchi participates in breast cancer multi-disciplinary team meetings, both at The Christie and at Wigan. She has developed the Acute Oncology Service at Wigan, allowing early specialist oncology input for patients presenting with complications arising from cancer therapy and/or complications arising from cancer itself.
