Professional biography
Dr Sharpley completed her undergraduate training at The University of Cambridge. She went on to complete her medical training at London and her haematology training at Oxford. She also spent some time at The National Amyloidosis Centre in London and has published widely on the condition. She has been a haematology consultant at The Christie at Macclesfield since 2020. She has the ‘Iwantgreatcare’ award for outstanding patient feedback for 2020 and 2021.
Her haematology team are also recipients of the MyelomaUK clinical excellence service programme award for the high level of care they provide to their myeloma patients. She hopes to try and establish an amyloidosis service in the North of England to improve patient access to specialist expertise and increase awareness of the condition.
