Professional biography
Dr Adam graduated from the University of Cape Town, South Africa and then undertook post-graduate training in South Africa and New Zealand before starting speciality training in general medicine and endocrinology in the North West of England. During this time he undertook a PhD in medicine at the University of Manchester studying the metabolic effects of obesity and associated cardiovascular disease risk.
He has also continually maintained a clinical research portfolio in endocrinology. His research has resulted in a number of publications and prizes.
He has a particular interest in the use of large clinical outcome ‘real-world’ datasets to better inform clinical practice.
