Anal cancer health and wellbeing event: 13 July 2023

The Christie joint anal cancer service will be holding its first anal cancer patient health and wellbeing event on Thursday 13 July 2023.

We want to invite past and present anal cancer patients and relatives to The Christie to have the opportunity to meet the team including the oncology and surgical consultants, clinical nurse specialists, stoma nurses and other allied health professionals.

The aim of the event is to give patients the opportunity to network with others and hear other patient’s stories, watch presentations on the latest treatments and research, as well as joining in with some complementary therapies and to find out about ongoing support.

The day will start at 9am (with registration and coffee at 08:30), finish at approximately 1pm and a light lunch/refreshment will be provided.

We want to understand and share the excellent work that is being undertaken at The Christie and also take the opportunity to obtain some feedback about the service.

The day is open to anal cancer patients and relatives and you can register on Eventbrite

If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact the clinical nurse specialist teams on 0161 918 7001 (surgical) or 0161 918 7002 (oncology) and ask for Rachel Connolly, Lisa Wardlow or Sarah Mitchell.
