CPCR are keen to develop research capacity and capability of all clinical staff groups. Research opportunities are available across the clinical-academic pathway from an introductory research internship to PhD.

HEE Research Internship
This internship is a great starting point for people who are interested in research but not had the opportunity to really engage with researchers and how this relates to patients and clinical practice. It is fully funded (including salary backfill) and it runs over 6 months (commencing September 2017) which includes 30 days in a research environment and 8 days residential research training.
Status: Applications for the 2017 cohort are now closed. Expressions of interest for the 2018 cohort will open on 1st April 2018. Further information about the internship can be found here. Masters in Clinical Research (MClinRes)
Run by The University of Manchester, Division of Nursing, Midwifery & Social Work, this MClinRes offers an ideal foundation for healthcare professionals who wish to enhance their skills and knowledge in clinical research.
Ten NIHR studentships are available to study for 2 years part time (3 days/week) or 1 year full time, and include course fees and salary replacement costs.
Eligibility: Applications from nurses, AHPs, healthcare science professions, pharmacy professions and clinical psychologists are welcome. Candidates must have a first degree at 1st or 2:1 level.
Status: Applications for the 2017 cohort are now closed. The next round of applications are likely to open in December 2017 with a deadline in March/April 2018. Further information about the qualification can be found here.
PhD
