Having been an 'unelected' carer for his wife Julie during her 2-stage battle with breast cancer, Scott has experienced many areas of patient interaction with The Christie, its services, staff and treatments. Unfortunately, Scott says that this journey took them both through the process of diagnosis to an abrupt end of life exit for Julie in 2020.

Scot says that he feels with his business background and personal experiences with The Christie, he has a fairly unique and vested interest in the success of The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, which he says is 'superb'. He says that he is keen to add value where he can.
