Sandra Boe, Receptionist

Sandra Boe is the winner of The Christie’s You Made A Difference Award for March 2024. The following comments were made about Sandra in the March nominations.

Judges picked Sandra out as a very deserving winner and said that the comments made about her showed how she represents The Christie values and behaviours.

"Sandra started at the Trust on 18 October 2021. Sandra is one of 5 receptionists here at department 1 Oak Road Treatment Centre.

"Sandra meets and greets the patients booking in at Oak Road for their appointment whether it is a clinic review or treatment. Sandra makes the patients' follow up appointments; books transport/interpreters; all general admin duties.

"Sandra is really good at her job and always has a lovely smile on her face when the patients arrive, nothing is any trouble for Sandra. She always goes out of her way to help patients and their relatives visit run as smooth as she possibly can, always happy to help with patients’ queries worries or just basic conversations. Sandra is there to help.

"Sandra loves going away and music events. Sandra loves Motown and wherever there is a night out or a festival and they are playing Motown you can guarantee Sandra will be there.

I totally understand why she has won this award; the patients absolutely love her and always ask about her even when she is on holiday. Sandra is a people person, very caring, always wanting to help, and is professional in her role, and that’s a winner for me.
