Membership and our Governors

Our membership of around 10,500 public members is split into 13 constituencies:

  • Bolton
  • Bury
  • Manchester
  • Oldham
  • Rochdale
  • Salford
  • Stockport
  • Tameside and Glossop
  • Trafford
  • Wigan
  • Cheshire
  • North West
  • Rest of England and Wales

The members in each area vote for a governor who represents their views and opinions on our council of governors. Partner organisations are also represented on this council and this is how members of the public have a voice at board level.

We also have governors that represent each of the following staff groups:

  • Registered medical staff
  • Registered nurses
  • Other clinical professional staff
  • Non-clinical staff

For more information on our Governors or to find out who your governor is, please see our council of governors page.
