Future Christie is a 10-year programme to improve how you receive care at The Christie.

We want your journey to feel more joined-up, personal, and efficient with clearer communication.

Some early key improvements include:

  • a new patient portal where you can view letters and appointments
  • digital reviews for chemotherapy and immunotherapy, telling us how you’re feeling
  • using AI (artificial intelligence) to speed up radiotherapy treatment planning
  • a modern electronic patient record system
  • integrating with the NHS App

Patients and staff are helping us shape these changes. With more people than ever being diagnosed with cancer, and numbers set to rise, we need to do things differently.

We’re not replacing face-to-face care, we’re making everything work better behind the scenes. And you’ll still have choices in how you receive information or interact with us. We'll make sure changes are introduced with support, explanation, and ample time to adjust.

We’ll keep you informed, and support will be in place as changes are rolled out.
