Mr Arie Parnham, consultant urologist at The Christie, joined the invited faculty at the European Urology Residents Education Programme (EUREP) 2026 to teach European residents about penile cancer.
Held in Prague from 4 to 9 September 2026, EUREP is one of the European School of Urology’s flagship teaching programmes. The 6-days course has been running for 24 years and brings together doctors in their final year of urology training for expert lectures, case discussions and practical training.
Mr Parnham shared experience from The Christie’s specialist penile cancer service with trainees from across Europe. His involvement also provided an opportunity to exchange ideas and strengthen relationships that can support future education and research.
Mr Parnham said: “It was a pleasure to teach at EUREP and share our experience from The Christie with the next generation of European urologists. Penile cancer is rare, so opportunities to build confidence in recognising and managing it are especially valuable.
“Exchanging ideas with colleagues also brings fresh perspectives back to our own service, helping us improve care for patients locally while supporting better care across Europe.”
The Christie penile cancer service continues to support specialist education and international collaboration to improve care for men with this rare cancer.
