We offer Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy to all inpatients during surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. During this time we deliver individualised, patient centred and empathetic rehabilitation programmes to optimise function and support discharge from hospital, whilst respecting patient's dignity and considering quality of life. We aim to encourage independence in order to assist individuals to manage their symptoms and side effects of cancer and its treatment such as:
Reduced Mobility
Weakness & Reduced Function
Pain
Breathlessness
Fatigue
Anxiety
We also offer outpatient physiotherapy services to Christie patients with Breast Cancer, Sarcomas and/or Lymphoedema in addition to those who have undergone Plastic surgery.
As well as this, we offer lymphoedema treatments to non-Christie patients who have had a cancer diagnosis, as well as offering treatments in Bolton and Stockport.
