Professional biography
Dr Michaelidou graduated in Medicine from the University of Manchester and completed specialist training in Endocrinology and Diabetes Mellitus in the North West of England in 2025. During her training, she developed a particular interest in endocrine complications of cancer and cancer treatment, including immunotherapy-related endocrine conditions, pituitary and adrenal disorders, and the long-term endocrine effects of cancer therapy. Earlier in her career, she worked in paediatric neuroendocrinology and neuro-oncology at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
She joined The Christie as a Consultant Endocrinologist in 2025 and took up a substantive consultant post in 2026. Her clinical interests include endocrine oncology, transition endocrinology and late effects of cancer treatment. She is actively involved in clinical research as a Principal Investigator and Sub-Investigator, and has a strong interest in medical education and postgraduate assessment.
