Nursing roles

Working as a nurse is a rewarding career as you can make a real difference to patient care. It can also be a challenge and you’ll often have to think on your feet and react quickly to situations.

The Christie provides a wide range of work opportunities for nurses in a variety of settings. These include:

  • theatres and surgery
  • critical care
  • medical oncology
  • clinical oncology
  • endocrinology
  • haematology and young adults
  • outpatients
  • research

We offer rotational posts, full time and part time work, and opportunities for flexible working as appropriate.

We actively encourage and support the personal and professional development of our nursing workforce. We always aim to deliver the highest standards of compassionate care to our patients.

With our quality improvement framework, we can enable and support improvement and innovation within nursing care. We also recognise and champion exceptional care delivery.

Our nursing teams provide education and support to learners, and we are immensely proud of the very positive student feedback we receive. Many of our students go on to take up nursing posts within the Trust.

Nurses at The Christie are very proud of the exceptional standard of care they deliver. This is reflected in the extremely positive feedback received from our patients and their families.
