Enjoy a day of fun at the Northenden Boat Race 2025 and help raise money in support of The Christie Charity.
After being cancelled last year due to damage to the weir on the River Mersey, the Northenden Boat Race is back on Sunday 24 August 2025.
The race will start at Simon’s Bridge in Didsbury and will end at Tatton Arms Bridge in Northenden. 2 people are allowed per boat and you can race in either an inflatable dinghy or inflatable canoe.
You can sign up for the Northenden Boat Race on the day - just head down to take part. Everyone must also bring a life jacket with them, no one is allowed to enter the race without one. You must be aged 18 or over to take part in the race.
Northenden Boat Race 2025 promises to be fun for all the family - as well as the boat race itself, there will be a selection of stalls, refreshments and a fancy dress competition.
All proceeds from this year’s Northenden Boat Race will go to the Teenage and Young Adult Unit Fund at The Christie.
