What is Mission Manchester?
Mission Manchester is a 4-hour, high-energy corporate team building race across Manchester city centre, where teams of 4 use trams, buses and foot to find hidden checkpoints and complete 30 creative challenges. The event is being held on Friday 19 March 2027. Money raised from the event goes to support The Christie Charity.
Where does Mission Manchester take place?
Mission Manchester starts and ends in Manchester City Centre (exact location will be confirmed to participants) and challenges will be placed in and around Manchester.
What is included in the registration fee?
Your registration fee includes a free Christie T-shirt, finished medal available upon completion, refreshments at the start and finish, the opportunity to network, an awards ceremony and a highlights video showcasing the best photos, videos and funniest moments from across the day. There is an optional additional charge for a Bee Network off-peak travel pass.
Do I have to fundraise?
We encourage teams to aim to raise a minimum of £1,000 in sponsorship to help us continue our fight against cancer. Get in touch with a member of our events team if you would like any fundraising materials or need any advice, we are here to help!
Who can take part?
Any team of 4 can take part - no fitness fanatics needed, just sharp minds, team spirit and comfortable shoes. It's perfect for team building, employee engagement, or client challenges.
Will the event be timed?
Participants will be given a latest return time on the day.
Where can I park?
No parking is available onsite at the start and finish however, closest car parks include M1 2NY, M4 7BL, M1 2ND and M1 2WQ. Parking is at your own risk - Mission Manchester and The Christie Charity accept no responsibility or liability for any loss, damage, or theft to vehicles or personal belongings, however caused. We encourage participants to use public transport where possible.
What should I wear?
It's spring in Manchester so dress for the great outdoors and unpredictable weather – comfortable shoes/trainers, layers and a waterproof are essential. Fancy dress is totally optional, and many teams use it as a chance to show off company branding, team colours or support for The Christie.
Do we need the Bee Network pass?
A day pass is optional but recommended to help you get between checkpoints faster.
Is the route accessible?
Mission Manchester is an event that mainly takes place outdoors using walking, public transport and city centre pavements. You will decide your own routes on the day.
Please contact us in advance to discuss accessibility needs. Teams participate at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety when crossing roads/using public transport.
Are there toilets/bag storage?
There is no secure bag storage. Toilets will be available at the start/finish hub and public facilities across the city.
