Join us on Sunday 3 September 2023 at Bridgewater Hall for a rare performance by the European Doctors Orchestra, raising money for The Christie charity.
The musical and medical worlds will combine for a unique performance of Gustav Mahler's third symphony. The orchestra is made up of doctors from across Europe who perform at least two public charity concerts a year.
This event is the only time in the next 2 years that the European Doctors Orchestra will be performing in the UK, so be sure to book your tickets so you don’t miss out.
Every performance of Gustav Mahler's epic third symphony is a special occasion, but with the European Doctors Orchestra performing this fundraising concert for The Christie charity, this promises to be a spectacular evening.
Originally titled 'The Joyful Science', the symphony journeys from the dawn of time itself to the pinnacle of human achievement, love, exploring on the way what it is to be human, and the interaction between mankind, science and nature. With a huge orchestra, St George’s Singers, choristers of Blackburn and Salford Cathedral, and Mezzo soprano Sarah Castle (Royal Opera House, Bayreuth Festival) for company, prepare to be moved to tears by this utterly unique symphony.
Please visit the Bridgewater Hall to book your tickets.
