From 2024 to 2025, Hill Dickinson’s Manchester office were a charity of the year partner of The Christie Charity. A charity of the year partnership with The Christie Charity is a fantastic way for businesses to engage their colleagues in fun activities and events, working together to raise vital funds that will change the lives of cancer patients both now and in the future.
In 2024, the trainee solicitors at Hill Dickinson’s Manchester office led a series of fundraising events in support of The Christie Charity.
From Halloween bake sales, Bongo’s Bingo nights and a charity rounders match, the trainees poured their time into raising funds for The Christie Charity. Each event was met with fantastic support from colleagues and local Manchester businesses, who generously donated prizes for the raffle.
Hill Dickinson’s fundraising events culminated with a festive Christmas carol concert for colleagues and friends and family members. At the concert, guests were treated to a beautiful performance by the talented Saint Bartholomew’s Choir and their accompanist.
The Christie Charity’s Corporate Fundraising Manager John Ashley also joined the event to speak about the impact of the Christie’s work. John honoured Hill Dickinson with The Christie Charity Challenge medal, in recognition of the 6 fundraising events in aid of The Christie organised by Hill Dickinson in the few months leading up to the concert.
Hill Dickinson was also proud to stand alongside The Christie Charity at 2 of Manchester’s most exciting running events in 2025, the Manchester Marathon and the AJ Bell Great Manchester Run. The team brought energy, encouragement, and community spirit to The Christie Charity’s cheer point along both routes.
As part of their support for The Christie Charity, a group of Hill Dickinson colleagues joined forces with The Christie Charity volunteers, to cheer on the incredible fundraisers who took part in both events. Armed with flags, whistles, a DJ and a live steel band, Hill Dickinson helped create a vibrant and uplifting atmosphere that kept runners motivated every step of the way.
