The Christie Charity Garden of Hope is a beautiful immersive light installation. The installation is made up of hundreds of pre-lit white roses — each one displaying a message of love and hope dedicated to someone special.

Every dedication helps raise vital funds for The Christie Charity, supporting our lifesaving and life-changing work for people affected by cancer. Join us in creating a collective tribute of light and love that will brighten the festive season.

We will officially open The Christie Charity Garden of Hope on Saturday 6 December 2025 at 5pm, when we will switch on all of the roses.

From Sunday 7 to Sunday 21 December 2025, 3pm to 8pm daily, our light installation will be a peaceful space to pause and reflect in St John’s Gardens on Lower Byrom Street in Manchester.

The Christie Charity Garden of Hope is sponsored by Roland Dransfield.

A place to reflect

The Garden of Hope will be a peaceful sanctuary in the heart of Manchester, offering a moment of calm and reflection amidst the hustle and bustle of Christmas. Surrounded by light, visitors are invited to pause, remember, and celebrate the lives of loved ones touched by cancer.
