Our supporter promise

The Christie Charity only exists because of the fantastic support from all our amazing fundraisers. We really value everything that our supporters do for us whether its raising funds or giving up your time to volunteer for us. In return we promise to ensure that we are spending your donations as cost effectively as possible to benefit as many of our patients as possible.

As members of the Fundraising Regulators self-regulatory scheme you can give with confidence, knowing that we comply with its principles:

• We are committed to high standards
• We are honest and open
• We are clear
• We are respectful
• We are fair and reasonable
• We are accountable

We will never sell your data to a third party and we will not share your data with any other charities. We will communicate with you in any way that suits you. If you’d prefer less contact or don’t want to hear from us, we will respect your wishes. If you would like to change or check your contact preferences please call our data and donations team on 0161 446 8180.

For every £1 given, 82p is spent on our patients focusing on four main areas:

• Care and treatment
• Research
• Education
• Extra patient services

We work hard to make sure that the money donated to us is spent where the hospital need it most and we produce a separate Impact Report which gives more detail about how the charitable income is spent and the difference it has made to our patients and their families. The Impact reports can be found here.

Throughout the year, our army of amazing supporters raise vital funds in support of our patients and their families. Join us as we celebrate our fundraisers' achievements and learn about the stories behind the people who support The Christie.

You can also see some more of our fabulous supporters in our fundraiser hall of fame archive.
