The Manchester to Blackpool bike ride has a new date

Due to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, the Manchester to Blackpool ride will now take place Sunday 13 September. Online and postal bookings for the ride will open on 1 June.

If you’ve already registered for the ride, your entry is valid for the new date automatically. If you can’t make the new date, you can:

  • transfer your entry to another person so that they can take part,
  • transfer your place to the 2021 ride, or
  • receive a refund.

On your bike, cancer

If you’ve not already signed up for the Manchester to Blackpool ride, then why not join #TeamChristie this September? We’ll be hopping on our bikes and tackling the 60-mile route from Manchester to Blackpool’s South Promenade. To mark your amazing achievement, there will be post-ride celebrations with music, food, drinks and fun.

Whether you’re an experienced cyclist or are wobbly on two wheels, the extra special atmosphere and Team Christie encouragement will ensure you never forget crossing that finish line!

Funds raised at this year’s event will go towards our exciting plans to build a new £150m world class transformational research facility. The research building will bring together three powerhouses of innovation – The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, The University of Manchester and Cancer Research UK.

This building is at the heart of our ambition to lead the world in clinical trial recruitment. It will support the development of new and kinder cancer therapies, with the aim to change the future of cancer.
