Festive Showcase 2025 Webbanner

The Christie Charity festive showcase

To get you in the Christmas spirit this December, we have a fantastic line up of musical talent, entertainment and festive activities in the Oak Road seating area in the hospital, and at our sites in Macclesfield, Salford and Oldham.

The Christie festive showcase takes place from Monday 8 to Friday 12 December 2025, with performances and events from 10am to 4pm.

There will be a range of music to suit all tastes and the opportunity to write a message for a loved one and hang it on one of our decorative trees or dedicate a rose to be displayed at our immersive light installation in St John’s Gardens in Manchester city centre. Come along and enjoy the free entertainment – take a look at the line-up of performances and visits below to see who’s playing and visiting throughout the week.

The Christie at Macclesfield – Wednesday 10 December 2025

The Christie at Macclesfield will be dedicating one day to the Festive Showcase on Wednesday 10 December 2025, with a packed programme of live entertainment, featuring over 100 performers from across the town.

There will be a prize raffle and a Christmas quiz running throughout the day, with 6 live acts entertaining our patients, visitors, staff and volunteers with a series of 30-minute sets.

  • 9.30am - All Hallow's Catholic College. The day begins with renditions of classic Christmas carols, courtesy of the pupils from the college which is just a 5-minute walk away from The Christie.
  • 10:30am - Macclesfield Male Voice Choir. This renowned 40-strong choir has long been the mainstay of regional country fayres and ceremonial gatherings.
  • 11:30am - Prestbury Primary School. Performances taken from their forthcoming annual nativity production.
  • 12:30pm - Broken Cross Primary Academy. Singalong carols and well-known festive hits from the young voices of Broken Cross.
  • 1:30pm - Kings School Macclesfield. The school, which was founded in 1502, has a history of producing fine orchestral musicians and an octet from the sixth form will be performing as part of our showcase.
  • 2:30pm - Marlborough Primary School. The Showcase ends with more Christmas songs we all know and love, from the school choir of Marlborough.

The Christie at Salford and Oldham - Friday 12 December 2025
