Neil was appointed as Executive Medical Director at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in November 2021. He joined the hospital in 2009 as a consultant clinical oncologist with an interest in lung cancer, and still works clinically.
During his career, Neil has led research in lung cancer and mesothelioma. He has also held national positions including Specialist Advisor for Oncology for the Care Quality Commission, membership of NHS England’s Chemotherapy Clinical Reference Group and Lung Cancer Clinical Expert Group, and membership of the Royal College of Radiologists’ Clinical Oncology Faculty Board and Professional Support and Standards Board.
