Safe Delivery of Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapies (SACT)

15 credit module

Overview

Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy is a core component of modern oncology, and delivering it safely has never been more important. This accredited module – created in partnership with The Christie Institute for Cancer Education and The University of Manchester – equips learners with the knowledge, confidence and practical skills needed to deliver SACT in a safe, person-centred and evidence-based way.

Combining weekly online teaching with immersive simulation at The Christie, the programme explores treatment pathways, toxicity management, human factors, and communication in SACT services. This is an opportunity to learn from specialist clinicians and deepen your understanding of safe, compassionate cancer care.

Delivered by expert Christie clinicians, this module blends theory and hands-on simulation to mirror real clinical practice. It forms part of the University of Manchester’s MSc Specialist Practice (Cancer) and MSc Advanced Leadership pathways and supports immediate improvements in patient safety, service quality and professional confidence.
