Overview
Cancer pain remains one of the most challenging aspects of oncology care. As more people live longer with cancer, the complexity of pain they experience increases, spanning neuropathic, bone and visceral pain alongside the psychological and existential dimensions that can go unaddressed. Evidence continues to highlight the need for more personalised, multimodal approaches that go beyond opioid prescribing alone.
This study day brings together leading experts in pain medicine, palliative care, pharmacy, nursing and integrative oncology to provide a practical review of modern cancer pain management. The programme has been shaped directly by the real-world challenges healthcare professionals told us matter most.
