Overview

Clinical supervision plays a vital role in supporting safe, reflective and high-quality practice across healthcare teams. This one-day workshop is designed for new clinical supervisors who are responsible for guiding, developing and supporting colleagues within clinical environments.

The programme introduces key theoretical and practical aspects of supervision, helping participants understand the purpose of clinical supervision and the skills required to facilitate meaningful reflective conversations. Through demonstrations, discussion and applied learning, the session focuses on building confidence in core supervisory skills including rapport building, questioning, constructive challenge and providing effective feedback.

Combining pre-course e-learning with a face-to-face training day, the workshop provides a structured and supportive environment to develop supervision skills that can be applied immediately in practice.
