Overview
This 2-day course is designed for massage therapists who want to expand their skills, enabling them to work safely and effectively with people with cancer and other complex or life-threatening conditions. You will explore safe and creative ways of adapting massage therapy and understand the rationale for adapted work for clients at all stages of the cancer journey, whether on active treatment, living beyond cancer, or receiving supportive and end-of-life care. A zero-strain approach to massage is used, with touch-based sessions that build confidence working with and without oil through both practitioner and client experience.
