MSc Specialist Practice (Cancer)

Our flexible master's course for health professionals is a partnership between The University of Manchester.  

Date: Sept 2026 

Duration: 1 year full-time, 2 or 3 years part-time

Principles and Practice of Cancer Care (Level 7: 15 credits, Level 6: 20 credits)

Duration: 7 face-to-face teaching days

Start date: 1 Oct 2026

Delivery type: Face-to-face teaching at The Christie Education Centre, Manchester.

Delivery style: Specialist lectures, academic learning, reflective practice and the application of evidence to real-world cancer care.

Experience level: Undergraduate and postgraduate CPD.

Effective Strategies for Advanced Communication - 15 credit module

Effective Strategies for Advanced Communication - 15 credit module

Duration: The module runs from January to March, with the summative assignment submitted for marking in June.

Delivery type: Face-to-face

Delivery style: The module combines theory with experiential learning, giving you the opportunity to explore evidence-based approaches to effective communication and put those skills into practice

Experience level: Advanced. The module can be taken as part of a Master’s programme or as a standalone module.
