Forthcoming Biological Basis of Cancer Therapy (BBCT) teaching

The Cancer Studies Research Group based at The Christie School of Oncology and Cancer Research UK Manchester Institute play a major role in allowing specialist registrars in clinical and medical oncology to fulfil the academic side of their training.

This Biological Basis of Cancer Therapy (BBCT) teaching programme is run as a 5-day lecture series and includes examination practice sessions. Monday to Wednesday will focus on molecular biology and immunotherapy and Thursday and Friday will cover pharmacology and chemotherapy.

  • Monday 11 to Friday 15 November 2024: Molecular biology, chemotherapy and pharmacology. Hybrid format - Christie Education centre, Auditorium/live Zoom
  • Monday 3 to Friday 7 February 2025: Radiobiology and medical statistics. Hybrid format - Christie Education centre, Auditorium/live Zoom
  • Monday 10 to Friday 14 November 2025: Molecular biology, chemotherapy and pharmacology. Hybrid format - Christie Education centre, Auditorium/live Zoom
