The Walk of Hope is a 10k charity walk taking place on Saturday 20 September 2025 in support of The Christie Charity.
No, all registered participants will receive a parking pass before the event, allowing free parking at Tatton Park on the day.
The event takes place in the beautiful grounds of Tatton Park (Knutsford, Cheshire, WA16 6QN).
This is a walking event, and we kindly ask all participants not to run.
The route covers uneven terrain within Tatton Park. While some participants have used pushchairs in the past, we do not recommend the route for wheelchair users due to accessibility challenges.
Yes – dogs are welcome but must be always kept on a lead in the main event area.
Water will be available from the main event site and at approximately the 5k point on the route. There will also be water refill stations for you to fill up your own water bottle. Soft drinks and other refreshments will also be available to purchase from our caterer.
By bringing your own water bottle, you will be helping to reduce the carbon footprint of our event and limit our plastic waste.
Yes, event photographers will be capturing moments throughout the day. If you do not wish to be photographed, please collect a red wristband from the Information Gazebo and wear it visibly—this will indicate to our photographers to avoid taking your picture as much as possible.
To register, please complete the online registration form above. Once registered, we’ll send you all the details you need, including fundraising information and event day essentials.
Please register everyone in your group who is taking part in the Walk of Hope. It is essential that everyone taking part in our event has registered on our website.
We aim to start sending out postal fundraising packs from early summer. Keep an eye on our website for updates.
We recommend participants bring their own water or drinks for the Walk of Hope. A food van will be on-site selling hot snacks and drinks, and you’re very welcome to bring your own picnic too.
The Walk of Hope is outdoors — please dress for the weather. We recommend a lightweight waterproof jacket, sun cream, and a hat. Trainers are best for footwear. If it’s been wet, expect some muddy patches, so be prepared!
