AHP recruitment event

AHP recruitment event - Saturday 30 July 2022

Join us at our recruitment event and find out more about the exciting opportunities to work and develop your career at The Christie in a range of Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) roles we're currently recruiting for.

At our recruitment event, you will find out from our teams about the diverse roles and development opportunities we are offering. Hear first-hand from colleagues in the area you are interested in working in and learn about what it’s like to work at our internationally leading cancer centre.

We're currently looking for:

  • Physiotherapists
  • Operating department practitioners
  • Occupational therapists
  • Dietitians
  • Radiographers (both diagnostic radiographers and therapeutic radiographers)
  • Speech and language therapists

You'll be able to speak to colleagues from these different staff groups, including radiographers from the proton beam therapy centre at The Christie. We will also offer advice on applying for our vacancies and explain the interview process.

You will also hear from some of our leaders what it means to be part of The Christie team, our vision and values, and the unique corporate benefits you could enjoy as a Christie employee.

The AHP recruitment event will be held on Saturday 30 July 2022, between 10am and 2pm in our dedicated and internationally-renowned on-site education facility The Christie School of Oncology. We'll also have scheduled auditorium presentations at 11am12pm and 1pm on the day.

Once you've signed up for the recruitment event, you'll get a confirmation email with more information about the event.

You can book your place at our event via our AHP event recruitment event page.

More about The Christie

The Christie specialises in cancer treatment, research and education. It is the largest single site cancer centre in Europe.

Treating more than 44,000 patients a year from across the UK, we became the first UK centre to be officially accredited as a comprehensive cancer centre. We also have our own dedicated hospital charity to improve care for our patients and their families.

In 2017, the Care Quality Commission rated The Christie as the best specialist trust in the country, and one of the top 3 trusts overall in England.

The Christie employs nearly 3,000 staff, all of whom work together to provide the best possible cancer care and patient experience.

Some of our recent developments include a state-of-the-art specialised haematology and teenage and young adult unit, excellent facilities at our Oak Road entrance and the first high-energy NHS proton beam therapy centre in the UK.
