Asher Lennox and her partner Stephen Kennedy took on the Virgin Money London Marathon on the 28th April 2019 in memory of Asher’s Father, Steven Lennox, who sadly passed away in November 2017.

As soon as they received their charity places in the marathon, Ash and Ste hit the ground running with their fundraising, holding numerous events in the 6 months leading up to the marathon, including, but not limited to; a 70's themed wine and cheese night, Christmas jumper bottomless brunch fundraiser, NYE party, a barn dance, bake sales, football tournaments, birthday collections, the list goes on!  After all their fundraising they both donned their Team Christie vests, and successfully completed the marathon in a fantastic time.

Because of their fundraising efforts, they have far exceeded their initial target of £5,000 and have raised a fantastic £8,766.39.

We would like to take the time to say a huge thank you to both Asher and Stephen for taking on this incredible challenge for The Christie! The funds you have raised will be sure to make a huge difference to our patients.
