Our fantastic supporters have helped us to buy a 3 Tesla MRI scanner, which is now in place and treating patients.  Its ultra-sharp imaging helps our radiologists to visualise and monitor changes in our patients’ cancer so we can plan individualised therapy. It helps us see further into soft tissue so we can deliver targeted treatment. Most importantly, it is helping to save lives right here at The Christie.

The 3T’s sharp imaging helps us monitor our patients’ response to treatment. In turn, this enables us to adjust doses of drugs more accurately. For our patients, this means we can minimise their side-effects and maximise their chances of beating cancer.
