West Didsbury and Chorlton FC, Christie fundraisers

West Didsbury and Chorlton FC is one of Manchester’s oldest and leading amateur football clubs. Founded in 1908, the club has a men’s team and a women’s team and plays at The Step Places Stadium in Chorlton.

As they’re based in south Manchester, players and club officials at West Didsbury and Chorlton FC were delighted to help to raise funds for The Christie charity. The club has pledged to offer its support over the next 2 football seasons.

One way West Didsbury and Chorlton FC is supporting The Christie charity is by featuring its logo on the new men’s First Team home shirt. The club will also donate £1 from every replica shirt sold in the club shop to The Christie charity.

The Christie charity and West Didsbury and Chorlton FC club are also hosting specific fundraising events throughout the next 2 football seasons. These events will be held on match days at The Step Places Stadium to raise awareness of the work The Christie does within the local area.

West Didsbury and Chorlton FC fans will also be able to donate to The Christie charity thanks to a brand new contactless donation machine featuring Christie Bear in the clubhouse.

“I’m thrilled that the club is now in a position to help raise funds for such an amazing and life changing charity. Many of us in south Manchester are extremely proud to have The Christie doing the world-class work it does on our doorstep and across the country.
“I’m sure club officials, players and our fans will welcome them warmly to The Step Places Stadium and support their fund raising efforts over the next 2 seasons.”
