Tina Wyche, Christie fundraiser

In April 2020, Tina Wyche will be jumping 11,000ft out of a plane at our April skydive. Joined by 2 of her friends Claire and Niomi, they will be fundraising for the Teenage and Young Adult unit at The Christie where Tina’s daughter Sophie is currently being treated.

At the age of 15, just a few weeks before her school prom, Sophie was diagnosed with a brain tumour (grade 4 medulloblastoma). Sophie had surgery to remove the tumour and then received proton beam therapy at The Christie. After 30 sessions of proton beam therapy, Sophie is now receiving chemotherapy on the Teenage and Young Adult unit.

Tina, Claire and Niomi want to give back to The Christie as “the charity go above and beyond to ensure Sophie is comfortable and the family are also taken care of emotionally and financially”.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to Tina, Claire and Niomi for taking on this incredible challenge. They have already raised an amazing £465 of their £2,000 target!

Are you feeling inspired by Tina's story? We still have skydive places available on 25 and 26 April. Sign up today and begin your fundraising journey for #TeamChristie!
