We are excited to announce that fitness gym Trafford Fit are holding the first Trafford Fit Business Games in aid of The Christie Charity in March 2025.

Trafford Fit Business Games is a fitness event for everybody, no matter your fitness level, offering a great opportunity to get your team fitter, healthier, and more energised – all while supporting cancer patients and their loved ones.

Teams will focus on their strength, endurance, fitness, and teamwork in training before the showcase competition where each team will take part in 3 workouts.

Enter a team of 4 (2 men and 2 women), boost your team’s wellbeing, and showcase their progress in a fun and friendly competition against local businesses.

How do the Trafford Fit Business Games work?

  • Sign up and donate: Secure your spot by registering your business below. The entry fee is £200 per team, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to The Christie Charity.
  • Exclusive training access: Your donation includes free access to 2 classes every week up until the challenge at Trafford Fit. Choose from a variety of sessions available from Monday to Friday at 10:30am, 12:30pm, 6:30pm or 7:30pm. Each 1-hour class is fully coached, ensuring your team gets the best preparation for the showcase event.

What is Trafford Fit Business Games?

Trafford Business Games is a fitness challenge showcasing strength, endurance, fitness and teamwork. On Friday 7 March 2025, up to 25 teams of 4 will take place in a showcase competition at Trafford Fit.

Do I need to train specifically for Trafford Fit Business Games?

Whilst Trafford Fit Business Games is designed to be a fitness challenge for everybody, it is still important to train in strength and endurance.

All participants will receive a free membership to Trafford Fit from the sign-up date until the showcase event. The free membership includes access to 2 sessions a week; Monday to Friday at 10:30am, 12:30pm, 6:30pm, or 7:30pm. Sessions can be booked through Trafford Fit using the Wodify app.

How can I register?

You can register by completing the registration form on The Christie Charity website.

To sign up you must pay a registration fee of £200 – 100% of the registration is donated to The Christie Charity.

How do I cancel my place?

If you want to cancel your place, you will need to contact Trafford Fit. You can contact them by emailing hello@trafford.fit.

Once you have cancelled your place, please email us at the-christie.appeals.companies@nhs.net or call us on 0161 918 7396 so that we can also update our systems.

How much do I have to fundraise?

There is no minimum fundraising pledge, we are grateful of any sponsorship to help us provide enhanced services for cancer patients and their families over and above what the NHS can fund.

How can I set up a fundraising page?

To set up your fundraising page, please visit the JustGiving website, choose The Christie Charity and select Trafford Fit Business Games event from the list or head to our JustGiving profile directly.

How can I fundraise as a team?

If you want to fundraise as a team, you can do this in 2 different ways:

  1. Make one fundraising page for the whole team and add your team members' first and last names to your fundraising page.
  2. On your active fundraising page, you can select the ‘Create a team’ and then invite your wider team to set up fundraising pages linked to your fundraising page.

What time does registration open on the day?

Registration will open at 6pm.

How do I buy spectator tickets?

Spectators don’t need to buy tickets in advance, there will be a £2 donation for all in-person spectators on the day. This can be paid via cash or card.

Will the showcase be streamed online?

Yes, the showcase will be livestreamed via YouTube so your staff, family and friends can watch.

Challenge Organiser: This Challenge is being organised and will be run by Trafford Fit.

Challenge Date: The Challenge will take place on Friday 7 March 2025 between 6pm and 10pm.

The registration fee includes free access to Trafford Fit from the sign-up date until Friday 7 March 2025 for up to 2 classes per week. Choose from the following sessions: Monday to Friday at 10:30am, 12:30pm, 6:30pm, or 7:30pm. Sessions must be booked directly with Trafford Fit through the Wodify app.

Challenge Terms and Conditions: You must read and accept the Terms and Conditions issued by Trafford Fit and comply with these. You can find the terms on the Trafford Fit Gym website.

If there is any conflict between these terms and the Challenge Organiser's terms, these terms will take precedence in respect of your fundraising and the Challenge Organiser's terms will take precedence in respect of your participation in the Challenge.

Your participation

Registration Fee: The registration fee for this Challenge is £200 which must be paid to The Christie Charity, 100% of the proceeds go directly to The Christie Charity.

Fundraising Pledge: There is no minimum fundraising pledge for this challenge, however in addition to your registration fee, please try and raise as much sponsorship money as possible to help us provide enhanced services for cancer patients and their families over and above what the NHS can fund.

You can collect the sponsorship money in any manner you wish, including by using a fundraising platform. Where the sponsorship money has been collected by you personally, you should arrange for this to be paid to The Christie Charity within one month of the end of the Challenge. You can find out ways to pay by going to our Donate page or by contacting us.

Age: The minimum age for this Challenge is 18. You confirm you will be at least the minimum age on the day of the Challenge.

Changes, postponement, or cancellation

Cancellation by you: Should you, for whatever reason, make the decision to not take your place in the Challenge, please contact Trafford Fit by emailing hello@trafford.fit.

Cancellation or changes made by the Challenge Organiser: We have no control over the Challenge. The Challenge Organiser may need to make changes to, postpone, or cancel the Challenge due to an event outside their control. The Challenge Organiser will contact you if this happens.

Sponsorship money: If the Challenge is cancelled or you decide not to participate, you are responsible for contacting your sponsors to inform them that you are no longer taking part and for confirming with them whether they are happy for the money they have donated to still be given to The Christie Charity. If you are using sponsorship forms for your fundraising, all sponsorship forms and monies collected should be forwarded to us or returned to your sponsors in accordance with their wishes.

Our liability

The Christie Charity are not the organiser of the Challenge and do not have any responsibility or liability in respect of running the Challenge. The Christie Charity will not be responsible for injury or illness resulting from your participation or for any damage or losses outside of our control.

Use of personal data

You have provided The Christie Charity information about you and The Christie Charity will use and share this data to perform this contract. You understand that it will be necessary for The Christie Charity to share data with the Challenge Organiser in order for you to participate in this Challenge.

We do not sell or swap your details with any third parties, except the Challenge Organiser.

We will keep your details on our database so we can provide you with the best possible support every time you contact us.

Complaints

Any complaints should be communicated to The Christie Charity representative on the Challenge.
