AX Paris, Christie fundraiser
AX Paris is a well-known leading ladies online fashion retailer which – despite its scale – is still a locally-run family business.
AX Paris pledged their long-term support to The Christie in 2012 following the passing of Santosh Anand, the mother of AX Paris director Arun Anand. Arun and his team have since been hugely committed to their fundraising, taking part in parachute jumps, marathons and bike rides.
In 2014, fundraising was then extended to AX Paris customers, with many choosing to donate a discretionary sum to The Christie every time they bought an item off the website.
Most recently, AX Paris showed their support for the annual Christie Charity Ball and became the headline sponsor of our 2018 event, which attracted 300 guests and raised a phenomenal £155,000. This will go towards the development of a state-of-the-art research centre to replace the Paterson building at The Christie, which was severely damaged by fire in 2017.
Since the partnership began in 2012, their commitment to the cause has been incredible and in turn AX Paris has now helped to raise over £315,000.
Arun Anand, Managing Director at AX Paris, said: “We have a strong connection with The Christie and a real understanding of the importance of the work it does. We are very proud to be playing a part in helping to shape the future of cancer care and we are overwhelmed by how much our AX Paris employees and customers have helped us to raise over the years.
“We look forward to raising even more in the future and continuing our fundraising success!”
Companies like AX Paris are hugely important to The Christie and we are extremely thankful for their continued support.
