Meet Ashleigh Maske, specialist dietitian within The Christie’s Colorectal and Peritoneal Oncology Centre which treats conditions such as appendix tumours and colon cancer. Thanks to Christie Charity supporters, this dedicated role provides nutritional, prehabilitation and rehabilitation support for patients undergoing complex cancer surgery.
Ashleigh meets with patients before surgery to ensure they are fit enough, and that they are recovering well afterwards. Thanks to supporters like you, patients are receiving dedicated and personalised support at every stage of their cancer journey to ensure they are heard, understood and receive the best possible care.
By helping patients improve strength, nutrition and recovery before treatment begins, the service is supporting better long-term outcomes for patients.
