Medical Oncologists

Your care may be managed by our medical oncologists who are consultants with lymphoma expertise who consider what will be the best way of treating your type of lymphoma with chemotherapy. If you require radiotherapy treatment they will refer you to see a clinical oncologist. Your medical oncologist may also discuss clinical trial options with you and answer your questions.

Clinical Oncologists

Your care may be managed by one of our clinical oncologists who are consultants with lymphoma expertise. They consider what will be the best way of treating your type of lymphoma with chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy.

Your clinical oncologist may also discuss clinical trial options with you and for some trials or systemic treatments they may refer you to see a medical oncologist.

Your consultant haematologist will manage your care should you be sent for a stem cell transplant following initial treatment.

Lymphoma Nurse Clinician

Our Nurse Clinician/Advanced Nurse Practitioner has a great deal of knowledge and experience of lymphoma. As part of the medical team, she assesses and manages patients and you may see her in one of your outpatient clinic appointments.

Research Nurses

If you are entered onto a clinical trial, our Research Nurses will co-ordinate your care and treatment schedule, and will be a good source of advice about the trial you are participating in. You will be introduced to the research nurses when you consent to be involved in a trial and they will become one of your main points of contact throughout your journey.

The Teenage and Young Adult Service (TYA) are here to help us care and treat younger patients with a lymphoma diagnosis.
