Oncology of Later Life Study Day

This multidisciplinary study day will raise awareness of geriatric oncology conditions, increase confidence in assessing older patients and identify how co-morbidities, frailty and geriatric syndromes may impact on cancer treatment

Intended Audience

Medical, clinical and surgical oncologists, geriatricians, specialist nurses, GPs, allied health professionals, community hospital teams and junior doctors (foundation, core and specialist trainees)

Delivery

This teaching will be delivered through a varied programmed of speaker presentations in the morning. An interactive MDT will take place after lunch and participative workshops will follow.


The day will provide the opportunity to meet all members of the multi-disciplinary team with the aim of building a support network to further improve patient care for the elderly patient.
