The Christie produces a range of patient information that covers various aspects of cancer and cancer treatments.

Booklets are free to patients coming to The Christie and are available from the cancer information centre (department 3). The centre offers a confidential service for anyone affected by cancer. Please call in or contact us by telephone on 0161 446 8100.

Changes to your voice during and following radiotherapy to the larynx (voice box)

Radiotherapy can result in a dry, sore and swollen throat. Radiation to the larynx will affect your vocal cords, producing changes to your voice.

Low grade mucinous neoplasm l (LAMN l)

Information explaining what LAMN l is, diagnosis, and treatment. A low grade mucinous neoplasm (LAMN I) is a growth found in your appendix. We use this term when the growth is very early and has not spread anywhere.
