The Christie cancer unit at Macclesfield holds consultant-led SACT clinics at the Cancer Resources Centre at Macclesfield District General and treatment is delivered by chemotherapy nurses employed by Macclesfield District General.

The Christie charity is currently raising money to fund the construction of a new centre in Macclesfield, where Christie patients will be able to receive outstanding cancer care. Work on The Christie at Macclesfield is expected to start later in 2019, with the aim of opening in 2021.
