The on-site car parks at The Christie are consistently very busy. Due to this, you may not be able to find a parking space near the closest entrance to the department you require.
There are drop-off points at the Oak Road, Palatine Road and Wilmslow Road entrances. There are wheelchairs at these entrances – these require a £1 coin to operate.
The Trust cannot guarantee a car park space on site.
We have two car parks for patients and visitors: car park C (multi-storey) on Palatine Road (M20 3JJ) and car park D on Wilmslow Road (M20 3QH). Both of these car parks have accessible (Blue Badge) parking.
Car park D is open 24 hours a day. Car park C opens at 5:30am and closes at 10:00pm.
As you enter the car park, take a ticket from the barrier and park.
When you are leaving, before returning to your vehicle, insert the ticket and your money into a Pay Station. As you leave, please insert your validated ticket at the barrier to exit the car park.
The first 30 minutes of parking are free. After this, charges apply – this is currently £1.50 per day. There are cash machines in the Oak Road main reception (department 3) and on the main corridor near department 12.
Please note: when visiting The Christie, please be aware of the local parking restrictions by checking signage and road markings.
The Pay Station for car park C (multi-storey) is on the ground floor of the car park by the pedestrian exit. Coins are accepted but not notes or cards.
There is a Pay Station at car park D. There is another Pay Station for car park D outside Oak Road patient treatment centre (department 1). Coins and notes are accepted but not cards.
The Pay Stations give change and receipts.
Blue Badge holders
Blue Badge holders are exempt from car parking charges. When you park at The Christie, please leave your clock visible on the dashboard and take your blue badge with you.
Before you return to your vehicle, please take your ticket and blue badge for validation to the information desk in Oak Road entrance (department 3). If the information desk is not manned, please go to the security office (department 3).
If you park at car park C, you can also validate your ticket at Palatine Road reception. This is open 8am-4pm, Monday to Friday.
