Bowel Cancer is the fourth most common cancer in the UK and every year 41,000 people are diagnosed. If diagnosed early it is treatable and curable. April is Bowel Cancer Awareness Month, a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness.

On Wednesday 3rd of April, our Colorectal Clinical Nurse Specialist’s held an event to raise awareness and offer support and education to patient’s, relatives, friends and staff. Information booklets with advice to reduce the risk of bowel cancer were provided, information on signs and symptoms and some treats for all those who visited the stand, with a healthy option of course!

It was a very successful event with lots of positive feedback. We even had a visit from Christie Bear!

Please see the link below for the Bowel Cancer UK information booklet & tell your friends and family! We can all join together in raising awareness and beating bowel cancer!
