Victoria says she is honoured to serve as a governor for The Christie, and feels strongly that patient-centred care and treatment remain high priorities of the Trust.
In 2009, Victoria's brother was treated for leukaemia at The Christie, and she has been an active supporter of the hospital ever since. She said the care that both he and the rest of her family received was unbelievable. Victoria's brother sadly passed away in 2015, but she and her family have continued fundraising for the charity in his memory ever since.
Victoria has worked for a number of large UK charities during my career. Her current role as project manager relies on her organisational and people skills which she feels benefit her greatly in this role.
