As a former Christie patient, Colin received treatment at The Christie in 2017 and gained enormous respect for the hospital. He said the staff achieve a fantastic blend of care and professionalism.
Colin has raised sponsorship for The Christie charity and various other cancer charities in runs. He even did a trek in the Himalayas for the Imperial Cancer Research Fund and has volunteered for the Beating Bowel Cancer charity. He has also contributed to focus groups for The Christie, for Manchester University and other research organisations, as well as taking part in PLACE Assessment 2019.
In his career as an accountant, and now a school governor, Colin has learned skills which enable him to make a very positive contribution to The Christie's Council of Governors.
