Dr Manoharan’s imaging specialities are cross-sectional imaging, body magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), PET CT (positron emission tomography computerised tomography) and nuclear medicine. His therapy specialities are selective internal radiation therapy (SIRT) and peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRNT) of neuroendocrine tumors (NET)

Professional biography
Dr Manoharan is dually accredited in radiology and nuclear medicine, with sub specialised fellowships in nuclear medicine (UK), oncology body MRI/CT (UK) and nuclear medicine/PET CT/ advanced radionuclide therapy (University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA). He developed and delivered neuroendocrine tumours (NET) molecular imaging and targeted therapy at The Christie. He also introduced and developed MRI services, especially in relation to liver imaging. He was part of the team that developed the NET multi-disciplinary team and successfully applied for The Christie to be recognised by the European NET society as a European Centre of Excellence.
