As a Governor of The Christie, Andrew says he feels he has an active role to play in ensuring that the needs of patients and the diverse community that The Christie serves are sympathetically listened to and regularly addressed. He says it is important to ensure that patients' voices are listened to and heard, as well as those of medical management and staff. Ensuring that policies, priorities and decisions are based on properly debated evidence and communicated is also key to his work.

Having been a local councillor and with 20 years in the hospitality industry, Andrew says he believes this gives him a vast range of skills and experience.
